Ah-ha! I found where to update my journal properly and all is good! Greetings from Bosnia yet again fellow SG'ers! I'm on the approach to my final destination and getting ready to start landing procedures. After spending 11 months out here I only have 32 days until I get to come back to Colorado! Home sweet home! 14 out of 365 days is definitely NOT enough time to spend with my wife, even if it was in Italy!
I'm finishing up my list of things to do here and am only down to a few. One of the big ones though is that I am definitely going to Budapest next weekend to spend a few days. One of the big things about coming to Europe was that I wanted to do some travelling. Due to time and budget concerns I didn't do as much as I had hoped but I did manage to see places I will probably never see again. What I mean is that if I am going to be going on vacation in the future I'd be far more likely to visit Germany, France, etc, the 'big' countries rather than places like Hungary!
So, the big debate now is, should I spend a little more money on a hotel that has a view of one of the castles there or should I spend a little less money and get a hotel on the Danube River? Decisions, decisions! I'm leaning towards the old 'cheaper is better' decision at the moment. Any way you slice it, I'm going to have fun! I am planning on hitting a winery there also. I guess you get a glass and you get to go downstairs into the wine cellar and taste whatever wines they have. Oh great! TAXI!!
So, other than that it's Ramadan out here in Bosnia. The bad news is that I don't get as many free meals from my landlord! Hehe. The good news is that in another few weeks it's their biggest celebration and I'll be here to share it with them! I think this weekend we're all going up to the Arizona Market (the largest black market in Europe). It's cool because you can get designer clothes, accessories, etc for mega cheap! That and it's just fun to walk around and look at the ladies, ahem, I mean merchandise! HA!
Anyhow, just thought I'd drop a quick note and say howdy. I hope everyone is doing well and that I hear from ya'll soon. Sorry I haven't been on to chat so much but with my late night hours I'm rarely on at the same time as my chat buddies!
