enough with this idiotic (buy a donut), vague/over-used (lose weight, quit smoking, find love), self-centered (me, me, ME dammit!), and unaccomplishable (i.e. yer too damn lazy teh go through with it, quitter!) resolutions! c'mon people! let's get creative!

New Year's Resolutions for 2008

Take Three Friends Out to Lunch
simple enough, right? gets a little more interesting when those friends have to be living in a different state/country.
Take More Pictures
too simple/vague? what if i'm using all these new images as proof that my friends and i ran into a police station naked, ran out persued by the cops, and finally got our asses tasered & thrown into a holding cell fer a night? (or just take more pictures of friends/family/parties, ye unexciting person you)
Shock People with a New Me
trim my hair? psh. buy a new set of clothes? bah. exercise and eat healthier (with my friends supporting/helping me), thus making me lose 50 lbs, turning my body from the somewhat pudgy, L to XL shirt wearing average joe into an athletically built, M shirt wearing... average joe (also building my self-confidence, and being in shape enough to learn parkour/skateboarding with my brother)? oh, hell yes.
Learn an Instrument
...with my friends. that way, once i learn how to play the guitar/bass/piano/drums, we can start a band! this is actually a two part resolution. our band's name is going teh be stayBROKEstayNAKED.
Move On
hopefully, in 2008, i'll finally go a day without thinking about my ex (6 year relationship), and what she did to hurt me so. by then, my self-confidence and self-worth should be repaired. (yeah, it's kinda self-centered, but also necessary)

there's one important fact about (most of) these resolutions: i resolved to do something with someone(s) else. it's vital that one enjoys life to the fullest, but it's just as important teh share it with the one's we love and care about, too.
