what a brutal weekend!
My parents old dog (16 yrs) fell in the icy river. By chance we saw him and my dad and I ran out. He was in a hole in the ice so we couldn't get to him. I kept calling his name so he would keep swimming but he was starting to shake and go under. My dad smashed the ice with metal rod and then we were able to get to him. My dad picked him up and threw him to me and I ran with him back into the cottage. My mom took him and tried warm him up in the tub but fell backwards and cut her head and then we thought my mom needed stitches but she turned out alright too.
So I just about watched watched my puppy from childhood drown right in front of me and my mom crack her head open.
.. I need a drink.
