How did you get there so quickly? It's like in that Popeye cartoon where he is making burgers, and he is talking to Wimpy on the phone, and Wimpy says to Popeye that he'll be right over. As Popeye is hanging up the phone, there is a knock at the door, and it's Wimpy.
Strange how impossible this concept was at the time the cartoon was made, but with the widespread availability of cellphones, someone could be on your porch (or stoop) and create the same effect. I will always prefer to imagine the events from the perspective ot the Popeye era.

Seeing as I'm from LA and old enough to be Jo Mama (although I'm sure my buffalo wings are not as good), I can tell you that El Douche was a pig like no other. It was not an act. I think he was mentally ill and he certainly did have a problem with alcohol. He used to panhandle for beer money, and he'd tell you a joke for a dollar.
