Well, it would depend on where you are living in NY or LA, I suppose. I don't know much about NYC. I hear it is very expensive there, too. One thing about this argument is that one can live in NYC without a car, but it would be difficult or impossible to do that in LA. And living in the slum that I do, making a car payment and the insurance for living in a slum ... well, it's a shame that I can't live with only one income, that's all. I work two jobs and now I have my boyfriend living here. At my age, you would think I could live on my grown up salary, but sadly ... no!

It's getting hot here. I can hardly wait for summer with no air conditioning, but I guess I can put the top down and bake like a typical LA chick, but truth told: I don't like the sun!

My neighborhood is weird, too. I live in a building with a bunch of tweakers. It's actually a hispanic neighborhood, for the most part, but in this particular building, there aren't many Mexicans because I doubt they want to live here with all the white trash. I had no idea when I moved in. I sure know how to pick 'em!

Mastodon was great! I'm annoyed with myself for not seeing them when they came around playing with Slayer a few months back. Going to try to catch them if they come around again in July if its on one of their off days from Ozzfest.

It made me happy that they don't seem to take themselves very seriously live and were just having fun playing. Kind of expected the opposite from them considering most of them were in Today is the Day.

Death By Stereo was kind of cool. They're not really my thing, but after seeing them live I'd be surprised if they haven't reached Warped Tour status yet. They're exciting to watch, but they lose serious points for wearing their own shirts.

Cult of Luna, I just thought they sounded like every other band on Escape Artist. I have some comp with them on it where they completely butcher Guns N' Roses songs in a bad way.

This post is getting way to long. If we cross paths again we have to say hi!

PS -- Don't lose any sleep over missing Deicide if you've never seen them. I've seen them three times and got more and more disappointed each time.
