apparently i have some christian slater-esque mannerisms. its happened several times before, someone tells me that i remind them of someone, a star.."you kinda talk like, uh, that guy who kinda looks like jack nicholson... " last night, sitting in perkins at 5am, the security douchebag from diamond joe's told me i reminded him of someone "a famous actor"..."christian slater?" i said. "yeah! thats the guy!"
once, at mardi gras, a foxy little girl approached me and asked me if i was him. "you must be fucking torqued" was my reply. i don't see it.

work is in progress for my new project. its an avant-garde musical performance art show called Furflaghn. strobe lights, trashbags full of helium, shiny white helmets with visors, gasmasks mounted with electric kazoos, timbales, congas, guitars, keyboards, fretless and stand up bass, mannequins converted into mic stands, mock-country songs about repenting for all the bad things, turning to death metal member introduction songs, bizarre stage names, absurd skits based on the folly of normal people...and a couple of cover songs. these are some of the ideas. should be quite entertaining, i'm guessing we'll give it the test run in about a month, as i have been invited by the bar manager at Fred P. Otts in Olathe to play there. he assumed i'd be showing up alone. Excited to perform again. been two years.
