Been insane.
between cramming to finish my album
and then complete the project
and preparing/rehearsing for my show
and working full/over time
the last four weeks or maybe longer - i don't even know, its all been a blur, have been busy to say the least.
I planned on sending away the album to have it professionally remastered, printed, duplicated and packaged, but thats just not going to happen. Not only did i spend all my money on the equipment i needed to perform the one man show, i'm still recording the last few tracks. I'm going to do it the way i've always done it - by hand. The first 50 discs are going to be completely homemade, not that that's a bad thing, but it's that much more work. I don't know what kind of turnout i'll have, but if everyone who said they were going to attend does, it should be pretty packed. Funny thing is, 80% of them have never heard any of my music or what i do. Hell, it's kind of a mystery to me what i'm going to do. My first rehearsal is tomorrow, and half of that will be figuring out how to set everything up and what problems i will encounter. I'm excited, not nervous, but i feel like a turd because i've been neglecting everyone, including myself - i'm in drone mode, just working and getting nowhere, it seems. The plan was to do this until i can afford to move to emporia and go back to school, be a teacher and keep moving on, but until the unexpected happens, i'm pretty much stuck. Oh well, everything for a reason, right? Right.
Meanwhile, poverty has driven me to vegetarianism. Yeah, a true starving artist...that's not a complaint.
That's the view from my shoes...everything else is turned off. Back to work.
