This is my tattoo finished (or almost). She is the first Italian woman to have refused the repairing marriage: Franca Viola (yes. .. this absurd practice existed by law in Italy until a few decades ago, and many Italians not even know it)
I wanted to represent her as a Disney princess in a fairy tale, because I would like them to be told more stories of women's independence. Go feminism! :)

Thank you for sharing this information about Franca Viola. She was very courageous as well as her family to stand up for what they believed against overwhelming odds, without any guarantee of success. They just believed that it was the right thing to do and believed that they would get justice...
