I'm looking for the best deal I can get, and I've got to do a lot of reading and fact-assimilating in the next two weeks before I make my decision on where to get my precious clicky box.
Cameradudes, please to point brain in proper direction? We like me. We don't want me to get screwed on an expensive camera which me plans to use all the fucking time. I trust your guys' input. Thanks for the advice already on Body Only versus buying with the lens!

some things to remember...usually your best bet is to go with a kit lens - nikon usually puts some pretty good lenses in for these. especially for a 1st camera!
