I AM A WELDER!

FEAR ME, STEEL, FOR I NOW HAVE THE SKILLS TO PWN YOU!!

I went FIVE YEARS through college, always always missing the opportunity to learn how to weld. Today, I held a wire-feed welder for in my hands for the first time and made molten steel. I have to tell you, I have long loved the smell of hot angry metal, but it's soooo much better when you make it angry yourself!

In other news, right now seems to be the perfect time for people to message me. Not because I'm especially good at responding, but simply because I've gotten a lot more each day this past week than I've been used to in the past. It's unusual to me, because I'm not certain there's any particular reason for the sudden attention - if anything, I'm far less attention-whorey than I was a year ago, and yet the messages are a-coming, and my inner pessimist can only mutter that this portents grievous doom.

Regardless, it's got me a bit flustered, so if you message me and I don't respond, I swear I'm not being a bitch, I just don't know how to respond...
