It's April Fool's day, Palm Sunday, and my mom and stepdad's one-year anniversary! Huzzah to all those who have a reason to celebrate this day.
My photos are getting out there, it seems. They've been getting posted to 4chan.org, and someone has even posted the link to one of my guest passes to Flickr. I'm not saying it's right or it's wrong - I certainly was aware that by posting pictures of my naked body, I would be setting myself up for them being spread all over the internet. I guess I really wasn't aware of the extent to which it would be done. I'm not sure how I feel about this, though I know that there's really no way to really stop it. I guess I'd like to curb it a bit, and maybe I feel like I just want a little more control over the situation. I'm considering, once I get my website going, doing a rolling archive of my photos (sort of like what the folks over at Red VS. Blue do with their videos). And then, if I can figure out how to make it work, offering a zipped file of all or most of my photos, or a torrent, or whatever, for a donation. Eh, I'm just talking out loud here.
I've realized of late that once my roommate moves out, I'll lose access to her camera. That's kind of a bummer, as I really like doing the occassional mini set and stuff. Ah, well. I'll figure something out. 3 months or more of downtime might not be a bad thing for me. I just hope it doesn't take me too long to get back into the swing of things when I start taking photos again. That'd be the big thing that worries me.
I should pack up some of my crap today, if only to get it out of the way and make it easier to rearrange things once moving day comes. It'd also be nice to have a clean room for a change.
It's been all rainy lately, which has been super great for my mood. I wish it would storm. I always get amazingly energized when it storms, for some reason. I guess I'm just tuned that way.
The three fortune cookie fortunes I've had taped to my computer monitor are:
"The secret of success is constancy of purpose."
"Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication."
"Every adversity carries with it the seed of an equal or greater benefit."
Sometimes it's good to remember those things.
I should go to the store and get some bread. I'd like to make a sammich or two. What's wrong with this hand? No sammich.
