And another two weeks gone without an update. Damn my life is boring.

Nothing much really is going on right now. I'm keeping on with the factory job - on Monday we get to box up stuff to send into Canada, so in honor of the event, I'm going to try to keep all my swearing in French. Too bad all I really know these days is merde...

But next week (after payday) I'm going to splurge and do something I've wanted to do for the last two years but have been sort of unable to do: get another tattoo. No, it's not the pimp Greek Muses one I was going to get a year ago - the design for that still hasn't been given to me, nor do I expect it to ever be, unless I can find someone more reliable who can get me the translation (and if you can, I would totally take pictures of my boobs for you).

Instead (and I'd show you, but the scan just isn't turning out at all) I'll be getting something that is etched on a lighter that used to belong to my grandfather, who died when I was 5 of lung cancer or emphysema (I was really only ever told that he died because he smoked). My mother got it for him while she was in Japan and, as I have been steadily acquiring everything that my family brought back while we were there, the lighter has come into my possession. It's really the one of the only things I have of my grandfather, though my earliest memories are of him. So yeah. Two big under-the-surface elements of my life: Japan, and Grandpa Fred. Of course I'll be taking pictures of it so that everyone can see once it's done.

And that's about all that is going on right now. Fun fun.
