Looks like it's time for an update!!!
As many of you know, I have been wanting to quit my job at the gas station for some months. I finally was able to on Thursday, as I was hired on the spot for a factory job. I am at the gas station for another week (through the 29th) and then I'm free (until Jan. 8). This makes me happy for a number of reasons.
1) I will still get the time and a half holiday pay from working the 24th and the 25th.
2) I will get to party my brains out for the new year.
3) I get a week to fix my sleep schedule so that working from 6am to 4pm four days a week won't suck as much.
4) This is a pay increase of $2.75.
5) Three-day weekends ALL THE TIME!!
6) Working in the daytime will make me feel like a more regular person, and not a Clerksy person that should shoot myself for all the good I'm doing with my life right now. (By the way, saw Clerks 2 last night. Heh. Pussy troll).
7) Casual work attire.
There are more, but seven is a good number.
Tonight is drinky-night. I've been looking forward to this evening for MONTHS! Possibly even a year. Every year, the Theatre Freaks get together and mob downtown Brookings, and it's a blast. Who are the Theatre Freaks? Just the incredible people who have graduated from SDSU with a theatre degree and are home for the holidays. So yes. This one - very excited. I'm going to be so hung over when I go to work tomorrow at 2.
I got Zatoichi 3 and 4 from my beau for christmas! It was pretty much exactly what I expected him to get, but its ok. Frankly, if I can get 2 Ichi movies a year from him, I should have the whole collection by... 2018? That's a lot of really easy christmas presents, and a lot of time to get him into the antihero samurai genre (because once I have all of the Ichi movies, I will have to get all the Lone Wolf and Cub movies). I got him Meet the Feebles and The Frighteners, which finishes out his Peter Jackson collection. Frankly, Jeffrey Combs needs to be in more films, because he is just awesome.
Nennie and I did a themeless mini set last night. They're uploading now, and it's taking forever, so I'll probably just edit this and paste it in later when they're done. I think a lot of them would look neat in monochrome, but we'll see if I ever get around to photoshopping them.
