Yay! I get four days off next weekend! You know what that means?? Road trip with my mom!!!
Ok, I know that doesn't sound all that exciting, compared to the fast world of gas stations, looking for new jobs, and being naked on le internets, but it's seriously cool to me. As I'm sure I've stated elsewhise, I've got some good family where we're going, and one of my most favorite relatives (who happens to live on the East Coast - very very far away!!!) will be there as well. Plus, hey, not having to make a damn pizza or handle someone else's money - GOOD THING!
I've been commissioned to write lyrics for my roommate. She wants to work with her brother on some original music, but sucks with words.... The only stipulations? Repeatable chorus, rhythm changes, and subject matter not about love or sex, preferably with some sort of message. I don't know that I like that it's so open-ended, but what the hell. I still haven't been writing enough lately, though I have made progress on my book - actually writing stuff that doesn't outright suck and contradict itself left and right.
Fucking fruit flies. I just lost half a Newcastle because I tried to snatch one out of the air (something I've grown rather good at) and missed... I am of the firm opinion that anything with more than four legs and an exoskeleton really shouldn't be allowed to live. THEY ALL NEED TO DIE!!! It is my fervent hope that tomorrow or the next day I can begin my plans to bring about massive fruit fly death. Because I'm sick of this shit.
I want to buy a new videogame. I love Jade Empire, I'm really working on relying more on the whole magic thing than I usually do (I tend to play serious tanks) but I've hit a spot in the story where... meh. Just not enough action... Maybe I should consider breaking out my PS2 and scrounge up a copy of Soul Caliber III, just for a change of pace. Maybe I should hit a store that sells used games next Monday and see what I can find. I think that would be good.
I realized earlier this week that I was told back in April to be expecting the design for my new tattoo soon, and I still haven't seen the fucker. If I didn't know my best friend (who is procuring this design for me) too well to know that he's not capable of lying to me for this long, I'd start thinking that it didn't exist at all. Still, it's frustrating. I had over seventy dollars saved in anticipation for actually geting the damn thing, but I am weak and spent all but fiftenn... *sigh*
You know what I think I'm starting to look forward to when I think about moving in with my boyfriend? It's not all that lovey-dovey, him always being there, going to sleep together, cuddling whenever crap. It's being able to put in any one of his movies whenever I want to and watching it. There are just a ton that every now and again, I'll say to myself: Damn. I really need to watch that again. But I CAN'T, because they're all the way over at his place, and it's too much trouble to go over there, ninja in, and steal Twelve Monkeys, Fight Club, Ghostbusters 2, UHF, and all the others that are preying on my mind... Damn him and his incredible movie collection. Grr...
Why am I still up? I have to be at work in... less than eight hours. The beer needs to make me sleepy, Vlad needs to stop making me horny (what IS it about killing people???) and my head needs to stop making me crazy and talkative... Or something like that.
