Hooray for spontaneously getting a day off!
In honor of this momentous and rare occassion, I'm cooking an actual meal today! Well, sort of. I threw two packages of pork cutlets into the crock pot with half a thing of barbecue sauce, and I'll whip up some garlic mashed potaters in about eight hours, but you know what I mean. The thing that sucks is that my roommate will be working until ten, and so will miss out on the glorious unveiling of my meal. I must contrive to have my boyfriend over and force him to eat it, I think. Yes, it sounds like a good plan.
The local movie house is showing Snakes on a Plane tonight at 10pm. Kind of stoked, mostly because I haven't had any kind of a date night with my boyfriend in a little while, and partly too because it's hard for me to resist campy things. I am a theatre person, after all. I just hope it's more campy and less sucky.
The roomie and I saw a movie called Snakes on a Train at the video rental place last night. IMDB fails us, and doesn't have an entry for it, but it looks like one of those digital-filmed straight-to-dvd jobs that seems to be getting done so frequently. But it's about a woman with a Mayan curse to hatch venomous snakes from her wombical area, so she crosses the border to find a powerful shaman to fix it. Unfortunately she has a phenomenal wombical area and the snakes hatch sooner than expected, causing much terror and death among the passengers upon the train she has taken. Apparently this is quite a terrifying movie, and I "won't sleep for days".
Ah. Here we go: Snakes on a Train
I'm starting to save money for my tattoo. From the $30 that I recieved for paying too much of my last phone/internet bill at my old place, and from the 6 textbooks I sold to my assistant manager who is taking the same class I once did, I now have $50 - minus ten for drinking on Tuesday night, and it was well worth it!! So this makes me happy. I hope I can keep up this whole "saving money" concept.
I really really really really want to do another set attempt - something that I could actually submit to SG. I like doing the short little practice sets and everything, but it isn't so much the same. I did find (what I hope will be) the perfect top for a set I've been doing some mild planning on, so hopefully I'll be able to find the rest of what I need for it soon.
Ugh, I could keep going, but my stomach is insisting that I've been neglecting it, and that's really not right. So here's a picture of my neglected stomach, for you all!
** warning, there also happen to be nipples in this photo, so please don't look if all you want to see is a tummy **
