I am astonished. The world, it seems, conspires to please me. First I am granted a night of perfect drunkenness, surrounded by dear friends, delicious alcohol, and the charm that comes from knowing you've *hit* the exact look you were going for.

Second I am allowed to sleep in a warm bed with my sweetest of lovers (admittedly after divulging the entire contents of my stomach into the porcelain receptacle do perfectly designed for such an act, but that was only to be expected,r eally).

Third I am granted a ... an afternoon, heh, of restful sleep, waking without hangover, as I have done so many other times.

Fourth, I am given the snow I so desperately long for. I can only pray that it holds, that the temperatures in the next two days do not allow it to melt. I have plans for this snow, oh my yes.

Could it be, then? Might there actually be a dog who loves me, and makes good things happen in a world were all seems utter crap? Might the cosmos just be aligning for maximum harmony in my little life? Or have I just caught a lucky break, been dealt a good hand in this ever-continuing game, hahaha, of life, so that I may, if I am prudent, negotiate some of my fortune back.

Whichever it is, I do know this one thing. I really need to do laundry and get some food in me.
