Haha! Sent off my tax papers today - I'll be expecting a two hundred dollar return, which makes me a very happy midget. It also means that I'm definitely getting another tattoo, and my best friend and his dad have already begun working on translating/designing it. So that makes me a more happy midget. I figure once the design is done, I'll take it in to the place where I'd like to have it inked, Alien & Co, which I hear is one of the best places in South Dakota (east of the Missouri River anyway - I bet the folks west river in the Sturgis area are pretty badass inkslingers). Hopefully they'll be able to give me an estimate of how much it should cost, how long it should take, and maybe help me tweak it if need be (of course, I could be wrong - my expectations are probably largely colored by the HUGE amount of episodes of Miami Ink I've been watching lately).
Um.. in other news, I had another brief, spontaneous meeting with a friend of mine who is studying photography as much as one can in this area. She's just been made manager of a bar where I desperately want to do a set, so arranging something should be a lot easier! Hehe. But I'll be having another, longer, better meeting with her later today, probably. Yay! My quest continues.
And, I think the best news of all for me right now - my grandmother who lives 500 miles away has said that she's definitely planning on coming to my college graduation in May. This means that she WON'T be around for the birth of her second great-grandchild - the first to actually be born in her area (the first was born in Florida, so I don't think she counts).
:begin rant:
But Grandma is pretty pissed off at my cousin, what with the several thousand dollars of debt she racked up for the girl's failed college education, and her current sluttishness. I mean, granted, I may be secretly (to my family, hehehe) plotting to expose huge expanses of my flesh for anyone willing to pay, but at least I'm not willing to bring a child into the world when the best job I can get is cashier at the local Dollar Store, and don't even know who the baby's father is.
:end rant:
Damn, that felt good. Now it's time to go to my home sweet second home: Perkins. =)
