Wow.. I have just tied myself to my computer chair in an effort to improve my posture, because DAMN my back hurts.

I've loved tattoos for as long as I can remember. I was fascinated with my father's few tattoos which he probably got while he was in the Navy and Marines, and my uncle, when I was young, was a tattoo artist down in Alabama. I finally worked myself up to getting my first about a year ago, and I just love it.

I believe it's time for another tattoo. I've been thinking about it a lot, and while I'm sure it's a result of seeing and lusting after all the gorgeous inkjobs on all the gorgeous women on this site, I think it's still an important urge to go with.

For the last year I've wanted to go with the kanji for "stagehand" because it is, of course, my favorite aspect of theatre. Buuut... I've had friends who've gotten kanji tattoos before, and later been told that it looked as though the characters had been drawn by a three-year-old. I don't want that! So, in my paranoia, I'm aiming to get it designed from someone with (I hope) a knowledge of kanji first. The only thing place I can find at the moment will cost me around $75 - for the design. Ouch! God I'm so broke...

But, a new idea I've been kicking around is to have a friend of mine, who is Greek, help me out. I think it would be really neat to get the nine Muses written in Greek, down my side, in a really nice blue or something. The Muses were great. Wow. I'm starting to like this idea. Should sit on this one for just a little bit, yet, though...

Then, of course, there's the possibility of some Celtic/Pict knotwork. I love the look of it, as you might be able to tell from looking at one or two of my uploaded pics.

Mmm... sooo tempting. Especially with that refund check coming in on Tuesday...
