I'm finally done at Casey's Convenience Store. Wicked awesome, man. Now I have a week to make myself able to wake up at 5am every day. It's not going to be easy, as I'm sure you can imagine. Well, hopefully after New Years I can really make with the discipline. *fingers crossed* I'm always so nervous when I start a new job...

Looks like it's time for an update!!!
As many of you know, I have been wanting to quit my job at the gas station for some months. I finally was able to on Thursday, as I was hired on the spot for a factory job. I am at the gas station for another week (through the 29th) and then I'm free (until Jan. 8). This...

So I'm playing catch up now, I know. But I had to tell you, for like 15 seconds I though Crocheting was Crotch-e-ting and I had this really great image in my mind. Oh well
Gather 'round, for I have news!!
Not really. But I do have a rant, which is sometimes more entertaining.
People lose shit all the time. It's human nature or something to completely fucking forget where you put that vitally important object, like your keys, or your textbook, or your fucking contacts case. And it seems such things always inevitably wind up in some incongruous...

Yeah i've been in that situation before. Usually its with my keys and them still being in the lock after i've torn the room apart looking for them.

particularly on mornings when I've slept in/running late/in a general foul mood.

Wow, I'd love to see you with long hair! Of course, I'm sure you'd look adorable however your hair was cut. (Boy did that sound cheesy!
)

If we had gone to high school together, I'd have been BEGGING you to be my prom date. You were totally HOT. Boys in ND must be stupid and blind.
1984 was good. I can't imagine it was an easy novel to adapt for the stage, but it worked well. The playwright wrote a good forward for the program, mostly noting how once upon a time, the President's message to the nation was "We have nothing to fear but fear itself." while the current message is "Be afraid. Be very afraid."
I'm starting to have...

Wow, you fence? I took some lessons a year ago and really enjoyed it. How long have you fenced?

the important thing about the holidays is getting time AWAY from work... and getting more sleep.
Halloween is over. I should change my profile picture. Hm... Oh! Found the new one. I'll peel it off the wall and scan it tomorrow....
So, I am about halfway through 1984. I'm starting to get very very excited to see the performance on Tuesday, because it's causing me to wonder more and more how they're going to be able to really pull this off....

Third edition D&D came out in 2000. (That's the d20 version I was talking about, so called because rolling a single twenty-sided die is the primary way of determining a random result....previous editions used all sorts of regular polyhedrons. Not that third edition doesn't still use those, but only for a few things. Not *nearly* as much as it used to be.).
And every edition change has marked a substantial change in the rules, (except maybe the change between 3.0 and 3.5) but the difference between 2nd and 3rd is particularly large, probably because between the two releases D&D got bought by Wizards of the Coast and is now being worked on by different people. So yeah, it really has changed a lot, fairly recently. Though I suppose it still might've been third edition that you originally encountered.

1984 was a creepy read, and is a creepy fucking book.
My profile on Flickr says that I'm taking down all of my photos - it's a lie. I've just switched ALL of them to Family Privacy, so the asshats on the rest of that website would leave me alone. Maybe I'm being too sensitive for someone who has naked pictures online, but... yeah. I've just had it with those jerks over there. I don't mind...

I suppose because we don't know you... and it's sort of a cultural thing nowadays for guys to preface anything with that non-creep disclaimer, as so many guys out there are creeps and have ruined it for the rest of us. we must tread lightly.
anyway, my Flickr name is recoveringmale, just like here on SG.
thanks!

hey...you said asshats! do you by chance listen to don and mike? just wondered...that's where i first heard that.
Halloween is my most favorite of all the holidays. For a lot of reasons, but partly because I like the fact that my inherent silliness and playfulness and whatnot can come out and be itself. I'm also starting to like getting creeped out, though I still don't like the way my neck feels when I do. The manager at the bar I used to work...
