So 2016 is off to a running start...
NEW CAR
Back in December I had to get a new car for my job. Although I applied for another position within my company, I wasn't sure I would get the job due to their initial insistance that they would not provide relocation assistance so I got a new 2016 Kia Sportage. Love the car!
NEW JOB
To my surprise, I found out the week of Christmas that I got the position that I applied for. They were still working on the relocation assistance so there was no "official" job offer yet.. fast forward almost 2 weeks and I was finally offered the job. The new job would require me to work out of my company's main office located in Jacksonville, FL. This is over 4 hours from where I currently lived so working on moving was top priority and I had now less than 2 weeks to pull things off.
NEW APARTMENT
Now that I had a job offer, I had to wait to hear from the company providing the relocation assistance. I got the ball rolling and got my assistance only 2 days before I had to move. Luckily things were already in motion and I was able to work everything out. Was very tiring and stressful. Moved in on a Saturday to begin work on a Monday.. not ideal but I made it work.
Now for the next part...
NEW FRIENDS
I am mostly a "hermit" so this part is usually not very easy for me.. however, since I work with new people, new friends at work isn't a problem. I will be looking to go bowling again so I will hopefully make some new friends there.
As far as on here, I have some amazing friends already and can always use more. :) :)
