So.. 2015 ended in a flurry!
I GOT A NEW VEHICLE..
Because of my current job, I had to replace my previous vehicle since it was turning 6 years old. I get a car allowance and cannot have a car over 5 years old. The car had some issues which is why I basically got no trade-in value. With the assistance of my dad, I was able to get a new vehicle...
I APPLIED FOR AND APPARENTLY HAVE RECEIVED A NEW JOB IN MY COMPANY...
Just before the holidays, I applied for another position in my company. It would require me to sit behind a desk and do stuff on the computer all day. Nothing I am not able to do. I would also have to relocate to Jacksonville, FL and work in our main office instead of driving from store to store each day working like I do now. After a phone call from my boss, I am apparently being offered the job. We are waiting on trying to get some relocation assistance so I haven't been OFFICIALLY offered the job yet which stinks. I have no idea how much they are going to pay me or if I will even get assistance. Without that, it would be very hard to relocate to a new place in only a few weeks.
I GOT TO SEE A GOOD BIT OF MY FAMILY FOR CHRISTMAS...
The past 2 years I have driven back to Maryland to visit my family. This year was no different. And unfortunately, it was basically the same as the previous 2 years. 3 of my brothers were unable to make it. Sadly, 2 of these brothers haven't been bothered to come to the family Christmas for many years now. I haven't seen the 2 of them now in over 8 years. I drove 940 miles and 16.5 hours in the rain to go visit them. I was able to stay by using points so it didn't cost me anything and I was able to get some sleep. Staying with family I have been unable to sleep well the past 2 years. I got some legos which was nice. Other than that, it was mainly the nieces and nephews that got gifts and that is all that matters. :)
So 2016 is here and it is nice to know that at least the TV loves me!
All kidding aside, it is nice to be a part of this community even though I don't post that often. I try to comment on photos and blogs as well as send messages. I have made some amazing friends so far and am looking forward to building on those friendships as well as make new ones.
