I have a phone interview on Monday! W0000t! This is for an awesome job I'm super-excited about and that should really put my IT skills to good use. It's for a Network Services Technician for a call centre. Yay! And on the super-plus side of this, it's the perfect impetus and motivation to get some major studying done for my Network+ & Security+ exams. Hurrah!!!

As much as I hate to be the bearer of bad news, I guess that means you're totally fucked.
user209834982:
If you get any good answers to that let me know. I am going to be cramming and procrastinating until Decemeber....then again in the next semester.

Ok, so since this is me and since I'm back, I'm going to bring the internet up to date on my whereabouts by making a list of To Did's and To Do's.

To Do's:
- get my credit cards under the limit - almost there. Mom & dad lent me some money to take some certification exams, so that's going to help greatly to this...

Wow!!! Good for you!
I wish I had the same sucesses

My advice to you is, while in the process of paying things down, it is often better to pay down slightly less to make sure you can set aside even small amounts to a general savings (not for any particular cause). A rainy day fund. Think of it this way: let's say your debt is $100--yes, I'm making this over-simplified math--and you earn $10 a week above your bills. It would take ten weeks devoting all of this to said debt. Now, let's say you set aside $2 to your rainy day (not Christmas, bill, or debt) funds. In ten weeks you have $20 in savings and $20 left to pay, which is two weeks. here's why that can be better If something comes up where you need those funds immediately, you will have them. You wouldn't want to put it right back on a credit card, especially not over limit (FEES). I don't know if that makes sense, or if I oversimplified it to no meaning trying not to write a book.

Toronto has been turned into a police state during the G8/G20. This is a disgusting abuse of power. If you're in Toronto or the surrounding area, I strongly urge you to protest this! This is inexcusable!

EDIT: The violent protesters are really makin' me look bad and making it hella hard to justify my stance.

By the way, even with your original post, I didn't think you were being an 'asshole' (your word). I know you're passionate about various political things. I do disagree about the 'police state' thing, but I didn't think you were supporting violence. (Well, okay, I waited for your reply to make sure, but I was hoping you weren't that extreme).

Oh wow! I love your new profile picture. love

Well, my resolution list from two months ago has been going... not so well. Let's recap and refocus, shall we?

1. I want to make more money - this is easier when my primary employer actually pays me for the shifts/expense reimbursements I'm owed. To fix this I'm going to send out a dozen resumes to awesome-sounding and high-paying job postings over the next couple...

I keep being told it only takes 10 days to change your life. That it takes your mind and body that long to get used to something and become a pattern. I know you can do it. Baby Steps !
northern:
Good luck with the job applications! Hopefully you'll find a more responsible employer.

I've read your food blog and I enjoy it, so I hope you'll post to it occassionally.

I've been telling myself for years I need to use my camera more often. But as you may have seen, I only took about a half dozen pictures at the gala. I always just feel so self-conscious pulling out my camera and trying to capture moments. Even when I visit my brother and his family, I have to force myself to take pictures of my adorable nephew.

A schedule? And sticking to it? Good luck! I've been spending much of my life trying to do that. Not very successfully.

Anyone know of an IT employer in St. John's NL that will actually pay their employees?
faye:
Actually....maybe!
One of my clients is Clark IT at work and I have a really great relationship with the owner, I'm not sure where all their locations are but let me check?
user209834982:
I would like to know if any employer is looking for anyone right now. Except IT, cuz I dunno any of that.
