So, today I was let go of my job.

I was called into the office manager's office, where the big wig's from head office were on conference call. They said they weren't going to be extending my contract and were "looking into other options" and that I was done effective today.

So I'm unemployed. A little over a week earlier than what I'd expected.

I mean, I knew this job was contract and there was no guarantee that it would be extended, which is why I didn't pin all my hopes on it, and Steph and I had already even planned on moving to Toronto at the end of the month. So the fact that I'm not going to be there forever isn't so terrible. I'm really just feeling sidelined.

A week's less work than I'd been anticipating. And how they just tossed me out. I feel... kind of numb and just not awesome.
