Here are my answers to the questions I asked of you lovely peeps:
1. Are you gonna vote?
Hells, yeah.
2. If not, why not?
n/a
3. Is there anything that you think would encourage more people to care about politics?
If we felt like it made a difference. If most of our votes counted, even if our party didn't get elected. If we adoped the MMP system (mixed member proportional) as opposed to FPTP (first past the post). If people were taught more about the power they do have, as opposed to the power they don't.
4. Do you think the election affects you?
I know it affects me. If the Conservatives get a majority, there's a good mother-fucking chance I'm not gonna be able to make a living working for non-profits, because half of them will be eviscerated. The good half, at that. Also, as a woman, this government has already made moves to kick me in the junk, including all but dismantling Status of Women Canada and removing "equality" from their mandate. Fucking bullshit.
5. Why (briefly) do you think you'll vote for a certain candidate/party?
I'll be voting NDP, because I think they're the change this country needs, and I really respect and admire the local candidate Sue McSheffrey. So much so, that I'm helping out with her campaign. She's not just a face on an ad to me, I've gotten to speak with her at length.
Now, who wants get all political on my ass?

After Thursday night, I didn't want to do so much... I stayed around town and basically took it easy. Got some cool picto-texts while out from someone *coughcoughyoucough* and Willow... Chatted with some folks that I haven't chatted with in a while... Fired up the ol' camera and took some rather "bleh" photos... Went back home and entered SG Chat for a bit.
That's about it.
