Ok, So I am back.
And now I need a vacation.
Sorry I didn't get back to all of you....I figured I would just update and go from there.

So....how was it?

*almost couldn't go...cant take kids out of the country without the other parents permission...
*got strep throat for the first 4 days
*b/f was being very distant most of the trip
*daughter was in rare form and acting up more then normal
*step-mom had something to say about everything I did...including when I got a second beer at 11:30 and she pointed out it wasn't even noon yet...even though I had been up since 5am
*got heat rash
*the condo's we were in were all old retired Americans...not a lotta action
*the car we rented from Thrifty had the back seat cushion right on the floor the car...so once the muffler got heated up, it started to smolder
*I realized just how much weight I have put on in the last few months


The good stuff......
*my daughter had a really good time, a really good time. It was nice too see her smile so much
*I got to drink some beer and eat some good food
*my b/f went out of his way to spend time with my girl
*my dad had a good time and spent a lot of time with my girl
*I think for 5 minutes I got to relax
*I got a little tan
*I didn't get diarrhea
*I only spent about $100 on the whole thing
*my house was still here when I got back

It's always difficult having fun on a family vacation, especially grownups with their own personalities. Wait to the next family vacation when you realize you've become the adult and your parents are now the children. And of course your daughter is going to act up on vacation; it's a completely new environment. My last g/f had a daughter about your girl's age. Around the end I loved the daughter and hated her. Your stepmom means well, I believe, but has an entirely different outlook on life. And now matter what you do, you're always wrong because it's not what she would do. Hey, at least you didn't get diarrhea. Hope your dental appointment goes well.
