Food for Thought

Have you ever chewed on a wad of paper? Using words to encourage sight through the mind's eye rather than manipulating the visual field by physical means feels like a gob of paper in my mouth.

I burned my throat.

Aaron brought me flowers and chocolate and took me to see Art School Confidential. It was all too true minus the hollywood ending. I'm the cliche who keeps dropping out and switching majors. Though, it's not because I don't think I'm not good at anything. It's because I'm good at too many things and can't settle on one or find one (in school) that combines and challenges my talents.

What does a scanner see? Into the head? Into the heart? Does it see into me? Clearly? Or darkly?

A friend of mine was laying out her life in compartments of experience and asking why someone viewed her as young when she had seemingly been through many lifetimes.

Thought/Reply

Maybe we are only as old as the connections we allow between experiences. You are still young because you have not let them compile and drag your heart as gravity does the skin. And so, whether it is with closure or open-ended, separation is survival of the soul and maintenance of a youthful spirit.

Thus ends my philosophical moment of the evening.

(read with the snootiest, old, british bulter accent you can muster)
We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming where deep thoughts remain as they are named.

When I get scared, I walk around with a knife the size of my head and do a thorough check of the house. I could use one of our guns, but I'd rather not shoot one of the animals or something equally silly. Also, I prefer sharp objects.
