today I got new hair and then I learned how to make tamales!!!!
My barback is an awesome guy and from Jalisco where I stayed with a few coworkers whilst on their sabbatical a few years back. Anyhow, he is teaching me to make traditional dishes but in their vegetarian form- so today was tamales (plus I learned how to make meat ones too) and salsa roja and tomatillo salsa. In a week or two it will be chile rellenos! I love learning new things and really, it's not something I would look up in a recipe book and do...Plus now I have lots of food in the house as I got to bring some tamales home (some will be frozen for later) Yeah! Good Monday. Now if only my house would clean itself, as that was what I was originally supposed to do today
