I've had a sucky two days. I've fought with the b/f on and off, mostly about, well, the way we fight, and I guess the next level is to have a fight about the we fight about the way we fight... and I'm pretty sure I can see it coming. The main problem seems to be that when we're getting really wound up, he snaps and overexaggerates what's going on and yells at me about it (which hurts- it sucks being told that you're always full of shit and nothing you say can be trusted when in reality you failed to follow through on one *important* thing) and in return, I close in on myself and nurse all the hurt on the inside until I can calm down enough to be rational about what we're upset about in the first place. I know he doesn't mean that I'm totally untrustworthy, but the amount of hurt generated by the fact that he said it, and probably did think it even for a couple of minutes turns out to be a lot longer lasting than the fight.

We're going to get through it, but sometimes I'm just so tired that talking about it seems too much effort. But I need to make the effort, so I do. So yes, ups and downs. During one of the happy times, we went and saw

No, I haven't seen the original, but apparently the remake really didn't stray. I enjoyed it, although I'm not sure if I'd have been happier with a "happy" ending- I mean, I think the ending was happy enough for hollywood. I think audiences would find it a lot more difficult to stomach the graphic stabbing of a 5 year old, no matter how much I would have loved it. And I loved Mia Farrow as the nanny. She was awesome. So pretty, but so creepy!

So after all the gore and excitement of last night, we got up this morning to go to work. I dropped the boy at the station, but he possibly ran late for work anyway. I kept on going, down the eastern, and heading towards the city. I was happily cruising in the right hand lane when *BANG*

So I've had my Ps 10 months now, and I've never ever had to worry about what a transit lane is. This morning, with the help of a police officer, I learnt that transit lanes are for people with at least one passenger. I learnt that driving unlawfully in the transit lane costs $79. I learnt that dropping your boyfriend off at the station still in possession of your wallet (and probationary license) can cost you another $50. I learnt that I get nervous enough when pulled over by a police officer that I start to talk really fast and hyperventilate, similar to when I have to give presentations. And I learnt that being a flustered blonde girl can get you out of the extra $50 fine, even though I was wearing a corset, jacket with mandarin collar, 3 skirts and knee high boots. Or maybe the outfit helped...

*sigh* well I'm still down $79. And I thought the rabies shot I'm booked for this afternoon was going to be the worst part of my day
