Goddam it's cold today. I know it's Melbourne, and I know winter is slowly winding up to freeze us all such that the only consolation we'll have is that hey, at least we're not in Hobart. Still, it's only 5 days in to official winter, and at 10am I stepped outside for 15 minutes, which was enough time for my ears to start stinging with cold, then settle into that dull ache that feels like a new piercing without the red hot burn. Time to invest in a beanie, methinks... Damn hat hair!
6 sleeps til my birthday! I never ever throw partys, so this year I thought I'd make an effort and actually do something. Big plans to have the little girls party that I never convinced my parents I should have, so I'm looking forward to stuffing myself with chocolate crackles, honey joys, fairy bread and red cordial. And icecream cake!!
I'm even going to organise lolly bags to hand to people when they leave, and maybe a game of pass the parcel
Maybe if I'm really lucky I'll get that pegasus MLP I always wanted...
After indulging the inner child there's plans to head out and do a bit of grown up celebrating
