there is a god of wine and a god of laptops. one day they had a love-child (the god of wine and laptops, if you will). that ove-child god is watching over me and protecting me, as just two days after getting my laptop back from repair, i spilt a huge glass of plonk over it!!! the love-child gods powers of protection appear to have worked, and after a night of drying out, the lappy still works fine *phew* The only silver lining to an otherwise gray and onimious looking cloud was that I had to ring Mr Mark_Plus_Beer to carry on the conversation we'd been having

now i need your advice on something... i am getting an iPod for my birthday... do i go to for ipod classic - 260g at 230, or the new super-duper- all-singing-all-dancing-can-end-global-warming-and-find-a-cure-for-cancer-and-aid-world-peace ipod touch] which is out at the end of the month - 16g at 260??? I'm not that fussed about it being touch-screen coz I'll probably break that straight away, but me likey the wifi connection (in theory, once connected to the internet i should be able to check my emails and stuff, yes??) My main thing is, as well as music, I would like to be able to watch my completely legally obtained *cough* tv shows, which I believe you can do on the iPod classic anyways
