Hibernating in the summer of my life proved to be as restful as it was uncomfortable to just - sit - still. I had big ideas and big plans that felt too weighty on my mostly solitary shoulders so I sought comfort - curling up beside my warm cat and devoting countless hours to escaping reality through journaling, Sims4 and building fortresses in Minecraft - all the opposite of my usual badassery. If you’re astrologically inclined, I call that my South Node being in Taurus.
I want to apologize for my retreat, I find that I have to go inside myself sometimes - cocoon - to rise again. Rest is luxury, I’ve seen people work themselves into the grave and I’m so grateful for the privilege to be still for a while. While I’m warming back up and rebuilding habits be gentle with me ;) taking it one bite at a time!
