i know this sounds a little intrusive on your personal life but... did they split up like ages before she went away.. or did the relationship stop because she went travelling? i won't go off on one here so i'll just say the word CLOSURE...you can do the working out. i hope it works out for the best whatever happens though.

he did send me a message in the end- nothing of note but it made me feel better
his girlf ditched him 6 months into her 1 yr trip, then he confirmed it with her a few weeks later- she's now saying that she didn't think they would actually split up, thus becoming the injured party. i actually admire her deviousness (is that a word?)- at last i have a nemesis!
