Okay, so I came up with an ending for a poem I wrote a little while ago. I wanted to repost it to see what you all thought. Thanks for reading it. I will reply and comment as soon as I can, but I am super busy for the time being. Have a great day.

Watching you degraded
sets my soul a flame.
Feeling I must protect you,
shelter you from pain.
My screaming heart
urging you to turn back.
Nameless feelings fly from within,
enshroud to protect,
fall to the ground rejected.
You seek your own path,
your own mistakes.
Cursing me for caring,
you slash slowly away at my soul,
your claws tear more than intended.
Fallen feelings form wings,
force me to flight.
You do not look forward,
nor back, but especially not up.
That is where I reside.
Always watching, waiting for the call
when your shattered heart
screams for exoneration.
It is then that I will descend.
Wings wide as my soul is deep
will encircle you,
comfort your shaken soul.
It is then that you will realize
what I always was,
a fallen angel
who remembers
what it is like
to fly.
