I have failed so conclusively as a friend that I'm not sure I'll ever forgive myself. I saw the signs, yet I chose to ignore them, I honestly thought things wouldn't go the way they did. Forever a life of another is changed for the worse because I failed to intervene. I can't tell you what or who I failed. I can tell you that I am very ashamed of myself. This is one of those very few times that I want a time machine to go back and be there to make sure what happened never happened. I have few regrets, and this is definitely one of them.
