Just saw "Forgetting Sarah Marshal" followed by "Harold and Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay." If you don't personally know me or read some of my blogs I'll drop the bomb: I am a sucker for romantic comedies. Can't get enough of 'em.

So my thought process on the way home started with, "It is so time to plan a trip to Amsterdam." (Insert stream of consciousness.) Ending with, "If I believe in love at first sight, will I understand it should it happen?"

I question my willful solitude and it's effect on my views of love. I keep wondering if this will end with love on a higher pedestal, or if my feelings on love will degrade over time and eventually I'll accept the most meager attraction as love. I am pretty positive it will be the pedestal, but I can't help but imagine all the foreseeable outcomes.

Why put myself through this? I didn't like some of my behavior prior to this venture. If I didn't like it, how could I ask someone else to?

Edit: I am also a sucker for the movie "Independence Day."

You sir are the winner! Best answer ever.

What makes it so much more delicious is that he begged my mom for duct tape the last time they were down here. Little did he know it'd be used against him!
