I did my best, I really did.
I tried to make it seem as if my coffee was holding all of my attention.
I tried to look enthralled with my paperback.
But it happens subconsciously you know, dear reader. You preen a little bit, you suck in the gut, and cover up the mustard stain on the thigh of your Levi's.
I admit it, alright? Yes, I played the game a little bit. The coy glance at you, only to look away when your eyes shift.

Shut up, I don't want to.

No. Yes? No.
Even if I had the balls to walk over to you, my brain would fuck up just about anything I attempt to say, so I convince myself to skip the embarassment, and I finish my coffee.
Then you're gone.
