Life on hold.
I think I am quite the superstititious type & more often than not, I don't talk about anything that's happening in my life for fear it's somehow going to fuck it up. You know what I mean?
Well, anyway, yep, current state = Life on hold.
For those of you who read the previous entry, here's how the story goes... last Thursday, after my emailing round, I received one reply saying that my CV + letter had been transferred to the person in charge of recruitment for the US (as it is all centralized)...
I'm going to cut this story short...
After a few emails, I found myself calling the Ipsos-NA Head of HR in New York
and had a 25-minute conversation with a very pleasant lady
I managed not to sound too freaked out (although I was) and kept the conversation easy-going.
End result?
Well, I was told that they are indeed interested in my CV and she told me to get back to her after a week or two, as she was going to deal with my application. We agreed for me to email back on the 6th of October.
Life on hold. I told you.
Since last Thursday, I've been flying really high while trying to stay rational and down to earth...
...but, yes, there is indeed a very real chance that I might be relocating & working in the US even before the end of this year (as I told her that I have a one-month notice clause in my current contract)...
...you can't even start to imagine what my current state of mind is just now...
In other news, for those who've been asking & caring about him, I've spent Sunday afternoon with NickySonic and I had a great time. Now go to his journal & send him some love.
He knows who you are & he needs some human warmth more than ever.
Much
to you all.
