So I've been told that I need to update.

I know, I know.

I seem to lack inspiration and willpower these days. At least the fucking winter seems to be ready to get the fuck out of here now and that will certainly get me out of my funk.

Let's go for total randomness and a stream-of-consciousness-type entry. Although it will be structured, which kinds of goes against the concept but hey, see, one line into it and I already digress.

2007 will probably be one of the best years for music (at least according to my tastes) in a long, long time. It seems that wherever I look, left and right, above and beyond, yougettheidea, there are new records by most of my fave bands, blossoming like happy mushrooms on wood bear shit. To name but a few...

- Skinny Puppy - Mythmaker [already out] and subCONSCIOUS The Vault 2. That's seven cd's in there + the bonus one for having ordered the whole subscription!! New dOWNLOAD! New platEAU! New Tear Garden!

- Troum - Shutun [in the mail soon] Yes, that's a round metal box! Sweeeeet.

- Rapoon - Church Road [in the mail soon] Only 200 copies made of the cardboard digipak version. Also, new Reformed Faction sometimes this year, that could see Robin Storey & Mark Spybey tour the US eeek eeek *faints*

- Atrium Carceri - Ptahil

- 65daysofstatic - The Destruction of Small Ideas

OK, I'm already tired of looking for links, so I'll just add to the list:

- The Young Gods - Super Ready / Fragment
- Front Line Assembly - Fallout
- Jesse Malin - Glitter in the Gutter
- Assemblage 23 - Meta

...and I probably forget some others. That's pretty amazing, since it's only March!

Cinema-wise: haven't been to a theatre in ages (since Borat), which kind of sucks. I hope we won't miss "Zodiac", as it looks cool. Not really sold on "300" and I've read opinions that aren't exactly staggering.

Watching a lot of stuff at home, now reached season 7 of CSI Las Vegas, which is getting even better with all the crazy visual experimentations. Great stuff. I think I'll go for "My name is Earl" afterwards. If you know any good series worth watching, let me know. And don't mention "Heroes" because it's pathetic.

Reading-wise: not much reading done lately, I'm reading Krishnamurti's Book of Life from time to time, it's pretty good.

And no, he had nothing to do with the Hare Krishna movement, you uncultivated bastards biggrin

Creation-wise: why is it so hard for me to have any kind of self-discipline? So much to do - but instead I download tons of crap that I'll never ever watch or use. Oh well. I'm getting there, I can feel it! As I said before, winter just makes me totally numb and it's hard for me to even feel remotely alive when it's all gloomy outside.

Health-wise: Not peachy, I blame that on adaptation. The first year in England I thought I was never going to get out of a permanent cold. It's not as bad here in Chicago but I've felt quite crappy for a long time, in & out of colds, etc... At least, Florida was constantly warm and mostly sunny, which helped my moods be lighter. Whatever.

Other random stuff: Got the tax refund so we've been able to finally buy a few things... we got our hookah and it's truly awesome.

I can smoke that while chain-drinking "heavily sugared" green tea at home now. Totally rocking.

Bought myself a new camera, and therefore you can prepare yourself for a lot of stupid and/or touristy photos in the near future, plus the usual drunken decadence. Of course, the most interesting pics you will never see biggrin

It's good to be a perv.

Before I go, sorry if I haven't posted in your journal lately or commented, etc... but be sure that I read pretty much everything... I just didn't find anything remotely interesting to say. And if you tend do the same with this here journal, well, make an effort this time...

Tell me a story, something stupid, something deep, something irrelevant, something fucked up or just invent a story with impossibly hot lesbians, one-eyed aliens and wild boars on the loose. Hey, antenna, that's your playground right here!

Laters kiddos & hot chikkies. Be good.

kiss

hey now, im definitely no rookie when it comes to IDM or "glitchy" music, mon frre. i went through a phase over a few years where i bought just about every album from Warp records that was IDM... actually i was thinking about making my next cd mixxx for the party a chilled out "brain music theme", since most of my past ones were were face-punchin, ass stompin aggressive music for the most part. what can i say thats the shit i really dig...
