Today I fainted just after a nurse stole some of my blood. I don't even recall it. N told me
Words of wisdom: DO NOT get wasted the day before you have to give blood samples on a hot day in Florida, since your body temperature will be higher, you'll be mostly dehydrated... perfect conditions assembled to pass out.
I truly DESPISE having blood samples taken. I guess it may be more psychosomatic than anything else, since I can be under a tattooist's needle for hours and I actually enjoy it eventhough I bleed easily & quite a lot...
I don't mind vaccinations too much either (good thing since in the last 8 days I got vaccinated against hepatitis, polio, diptheria and tuberculosis...) but when it comes to blood samples, it feels like my life is being stolen, drained out of me. I get very close to fainting anytime I have to go through this
but at least I know it, I can tell the nurse beforehand and I see it coming, so I can be ok by drinking water & lying down for a while... although this time I didn't escape it!
So yes, this past week has seen my right arm almost paralyzed for 3 days and today's "fun" was quite something but at least I'm done with all that crap now (just have 2 more shots in one and three months for hepatitis, no big deal).
Pheeew.
What else? I'm going to a wedding tomorrow; should be fun. Also, most likely on Monday, I'll have my complete file ready to go to the various government bodies concerned. Which means that in 90 days at the latest I'll have the right to work. Scary thing is I can't wait. Not working is cool. But not when you're skint.
I hope you're all doing well.
