I think this pretty much sums it up... final words from my comp sci teacher after our lab: "Well, it's the end of class folks, if you're hungry, frustrated, or suicidal, you can leave..."
Yeah, real encouraging, eh?

Nice to meet you too. smile

Whew, just got back from kayaking again. This time we worked on rolls in a lake, and played "paddle gladiator" which was hilarious... haha, one of the girls actually ran OVER the instructor's boat on accident. But it was pretty chilly... though I had one of my Dad's "cookie bars" for comfort... he sent 'em all the way from the west coast! awww.

"I'm 1/3 passion, but I am 2/3 pride, I said I used to have a life once, he said 'I used to like your smile once'"...

wow, I love the lyrics to this song. So I am fucking swamped right now. And I miss playing my guitar. In fact, I miss a lot of things.

My dad's coming in a few weeks, and I feel...

So I just got back from Maine... it was freezing and windy, and yet invigorating. Kayaking on black water, slicing through icy air, with white caps highlighting the rocky coast is so... beautiful.

well, if you're here for christmas, i'm sure we could meet then. smile

i'm just getting really tired of seeing the same buildings, same streets, same people, same skyline, same everything! i do love seattle, i'm just terrifically bored with it, and all of the awesome people from far away cities that i've been meeting in the past 6 months ago are only deepening my ennui.

or maybe its because the weather is starting to change. wink

e*

p.s. maybe i could cook you one of my wonderful vegan recipes?
jasiri:
kinnie starr is amazing...not that i know either of you, but i think that it would be great if you two met...smile more friends!!! biggrin spread the love!!! wink

Oh, how I love being indoors when it's raining outside... with Death Cab for Cutie on the stereo. Warm lasagna (such a comfort food) right next to me. Tomorrow will be a very different story... have to head out at 5 a.m. for Maine and kayaking in potential winds and general outdoorsy stuff. And it's supposed to be about 30 degrees. God, I hate putting...

damn, my coffee has run out.
Please, let it be Tuesday already. Going on a kayaking trip to Maine this weekend and I have a shitload, and I mean a shitload, of homework & projects due on Monday. I don 't know how any of it will actually be completed, seeing as how I'll be coming back Sunday evening in an exhausted stupor. And in...

"i'm going out like a baby"
I love sitting in bed listening to elliott smith, with the red hue of the lamp casting a gentle glow around the room. it's so... ahh... I don't know. The air smells like Autumn. Like rotten apples and crisp leaves and i keep pretending i can smell pumpkin pie. I wonder if John & I will put on a...

i fell in love with sweden when i was there a year ago. i would marry myself to the country if they would only let me. wink
getting them to let me stay is the hard part.

percussion, huh? i've played a few drums in my life, though completely different than playing in an orchestra! that's pretty cool though. instruments take a lot of discipline. discipline that i don't really have. smile

heh. my dad is actually super cool, and super cool with me liking girls. his wife is bi, too, so he couldn't exactly disown me for it or anything. but my family is just wierd.

and no, i don't know how to delete comments. i don't even know how to edit when you're writing on someone's journal page.

argh! this is one of those times when i really wish i had aim. these posts just get longer and longer. smile

i've been trying to find a friend in sweden who will "marry" me, since i know a couple of people there, but so far the response has not been too good. oh well. there's other ways. i might become a Teacher of English as a Foreign Language, since i can butcher english quite masterfully and used to want to be a teacher. but i'm still researching other ways to get there.

erm, when i've played drums, it was at powwows. i don't tell a lot of people that. i'm kind of secretive about certain things. though of course, now anyone who reads this will know. wink

i don't think its wierd that my stepmom's bi. but she has a "second husband" who is my dad's best friend, and they are pagan nudists. yet somehow my dad's a republican... i don't know. i quit trying to explain the strangeness of my family a long time ago. but when friends of mine meet my dad, they inevitably say, "oh, now i understand."

heh. that would be quite a way for your family to find out. did they react to it okay?

Oops. Slept all day. Missed all my classes. What is the world coming to? And now I have this painting project due tomorrow, and I just got a message saying i need to be over at orchestra to set up percussion in an hour... bleh. I have decided sleep is my biggest weakness. That, and messing around on the computer.
Yeah, and food. And hot...

sleep is my biggest weakness too. sounds like you are suffering from the same thing as me. the only thing i ever seem to think about anymore is what i need to do at what time on what day, and "when am i going to get some sleep?" wink

woo, just got back from a very athletic "walk" around the sanctuary... i love being "healthy." i also have a ton of homework to do before tonight's big events (i.e. senior/faculty dinner with Peter Jennings). Why am I even going? Do I have any interest at all in Peter Jennings? No. *shrug* But most of the seniors are going, and I'm a big sheep. Baaaah....

When I'm really board I get my loop (those little 8x magnifying things to look at film) and go around looking at stuff. It quite amazing all the texture that the human eye can't pick up.

That's only when I'm really bored.

And HA! You need to come to LA. The place I go has a pizza in the case that's tomato sauce and a bunch of strange veggies you wouldn't expect to taste right on a pizza (broccoli, spinich, etc) And it's soooooo good.
