Whew. This weekend was hectic. Went into Boston and saw an interactive mystery show, ate lots of good food, checked out bookstores, walked around different neigborhoods, bought earrings, relaxed in the hotel and watched tv from bed (such a luxury!)... and did I mention ate good food? Oh, and I spent time with my Dad.

Grapes of Wrath: if you haven't seen John Ford's 1940 film, try to catch it or rent it.

The realism of the acting was groundbreaking in its day.

Cheers,

G.

Ugh, just saw The Ring, and now I'm all by my lonesome in the dorm 'cause almost everyone has gone home for long weekend.

Must. not. dwell. on. disturbing. scenes.

Sometimes I feel like zero must be the center of the universe because numbers can go for eternity both ways, and the only way to measure them is how far they are from zero.
Strange, isn't it. Zero being the only constant we have.
Zero is the same in any unit of time or space.
This weirds me out... because negative numbers can't *physically* exist,...

It's funny that you say this. Because right now I'm wearing a shirt that says "Zero" on it and I just happen to be the center of the universe.

YAY, I just wrote my first c++ program! *grins unbearably hard*

Hmm, I have an idea for my next painting. We're supposed to use texture and paint a food, and I'm thinking maybe I should paint a giant cookie and have the Pillsbury Doughboy baked into the cookie with a look of horror on his face. Or maybe that's too malicious. Heh heh.

Oh! Or...

I feel hyperaware right now. The sound of my comp keys being pressed is ten times magnified. Maybe it's my stuffed up sinuses.

I love music so so so much. Sometimes I forget, and then I put on a great album, and it's just like fuuuuck, it's so good! Like there are so many bands I just don't spend enough time listening to. And so...

I love little boy tees and striped underwear.

Just got back from the library- there are so many effin' books I want to read! And I could never read them all... I realize how many resources I've got at my disposal here. I am so lucky, and I need to take advantage of it as much as possible.

We have a symphony concert next Friday....

Eep. I thought "oh, I'll do my homework on Sunday night after the kayaking trip." HAHA. Last night, at about 5 o'clock, I went to sleep.
And that was my day. Kayaking among the Essex River marshes with the rain misting my face and the smell of rotten eggs permeating the air, and then sleep.
Actually, it was pretty fun...
But please... no sand in...

Dude, I am soooo in the clear.

I wrote that girl that I mentioned earlier and, THINGS ARE TOTALLY COOL! I'm single (well, I always knew that i was but didn't know her side of things) and I feel like a million pounds have been lifted off of my back!

This rules like nothing has ever ruled before! I'm gonna have a beer now. Cheers!

its not necessarily the people who might have joined BECAUSE of the mtv thing, but just the people who have joined since then. maybe i'm just generalizing too much. or maybe i'm nitpicking too much, that seems more likely.

i wish i could do something yummy with the pumpkin guts, like make pumpkin pie, but i don't have a recipe and i think you have to use the whole pumpkin anyway. and the smell of roasting pumpkin seeds makes me really nauseous, so that's out to. oh well. maybe i'll carve a pumpkin with cute dread-like pigtails and name it after you. smile

Hi. The new Vera is pretty cool. A lot of hard work went into it and it really paid off. It's on 1916 4th Ave. on the second floor. It's all black and they have a great sound system.

Akimbo, Fits of Depression, and the Catheters broke the place in. Akimbo was ok, Fits of Depression were great and the Catheters kicked some ass...as usual.

Seattle needs more all ages clubs like the Vera. I hope it stays around for a long time.

nah, it's probably smart not to use your real name.
I'd use a cool nick-name if I could think of one that fit me.
