So I guess I should update... inspired by Bridget's comment.
Just got home from a 6-day roadtrip around Vancouver Island... went to Tofino... surfer capital of BC, or something like that. Lots of hippies. Not enough fans of Tegan & Sara... it seemed like we were the only ones singing along at the show. We also made colorful sidewalk chark art in front of the venue.
The Victoria Folkfest was rad. Met up with lots of people. Had fun. Met Tegan & Sara and got pictures & signage.
Then we headed up to Nanaimo, where 9 of us tried to cram into a one bedroom apartment.
The T&S show rocked, it was all low-key... the most hilarious moment EVER happened that night. Some of us were very drunk and wound up at the park... and then some of us were also injured, I'll just leave it at that. Okay, I have to add that one of my friends now has gashes in the form of fence marks on her forehead.
Then it was back to Vic... for another T&S show and some Lush shopping. Like true roadtrippers, we slept in the Wal-Mart parking lot.
Today was the sad day that we had to cross the border and come home again... complete with setlists, tshirts, canadian souvenirs, and a speeding ticket.
Time to get to bed... I'm really sick, but I have to work ten hours tomorrow.

It's too bad that you missed fire on Friday, it was really awesome. There were all sorts of people there that I didn't even know, they just started showing up with their fire tools. It was rad. But yeah, hopefully when you get your permit you'll be able to come out more
Maybe Friday after this one, since you have Ani this Friday, which totally excuses you.
