You know, I do believe the heat has been shut off for the year. Probably a good indication is that my man teets are up and perky...plus I can see my breath! Probably should have shut the windows before going to bed.

Although...I was distracted last night, in a good way. A few weeks ago one of the few people I've met and still talk with had a party for her new business space. Didn't really expect more than to hang out with some people and eat /drink for free.

[side note -- it's hard updating this thing while being distracted by tasty peanut butter and bread]

So, I'm standing around talking with some people and in walks in a very hot gal and had me all a-flutter. We get introduced and talk for a long time, which was cool. The party went on and then both of us had to leave...but like the dork I am, I didn't get a phone number or anything. I kinda figured that someone who was that good looking, intelligent and ultra nice had to be off the market (or have no interest in me).

[mmm...peanut butter...]

Anyway, the next day I dropped my friend a thank-you email for the good time and to drop the hint that I dug her friend. About a week later she gets back to me (which is a normal length of time for her) and tells me that her friend kinda dug me too and that I should call her!

A week later I get the nerve up to call, which was Sunday night. Last night she called me back and we talked for 2+ hours and...my bravado on full I asked her out. We're gonna do stuff Wednesday

Toga Party -- well, the b-day is next week and I'm not sure as to whether or not to have a shindig at my apartment or at a place like the Satellite Bar. Lit Lounge would be cool too. It seems that people are interested in something like that but any suggestions would be appreciated!
