it's cocktail hour!
okay, so yesterday I have to say that I was wwwaaayyy down. It's been a while that I've had that kinda "just get in bed to get it over with" day.
Today was better, though and it's ending on a good note...the evening nitecap! Nothing like a good meal (pan-seared porkchop with sherry-vinegar butter sauce, roasted cauliflower, broccoli and garlic, fresh bread and wine) plus a chocolate hazelnut martini to cap the night off.
If anyone has TV-- and I mean where you can watch / channel hop...let me know! Tomorrow night on the "Late, Late Show" Dinosaur Jr. with ALL ORIGINAL MEMBERS, including that dick Lou Barlow are together after 15 years of feuding. I must see this!!!. Tape the performance and you can have a free meal or something else!
What's up with everyone going Pope crazy? If the Republicans weren't in power would the country be so (1) conservative and (2) care as much?
I say we need to revert to hedonism! Or maybe that's just the influence of Spring hittn' hard. Thankfully it's not been warm enough for skimpy clothing...oy...to be single in this city B-L-O-W-S!
It's been a bit since I talked about something to listen to, but I'd like to bring out the big guns...those summer albums that you just must listen to. The first, which is still a must to have at parties is Dr. Dre's The Chronic. No matter how many times I listen to this I am still amazed at how solid this album was. Hell, if you can't get out and dance / get yer grove on to this then yer moneky-ass ain't worth showin' out.
Other albums you should have: Public EnemyApocolypse 91: The Enemy Strikes Black[/i/], Ice CubeAmeriKKKa's Most Wanted, Cee-lo Green & His Perfect Imperfections (Shee-it, this album is FUNKY)...plus you can't forget most of James Brown or the ever popular Isaac HayesHot Buttered Soul.

I don't know why but I just never got into Apocalypse 91. I thought all but two songs just didn't have the sense of urgency they captured so well on It Takes A Nation of Millions... and Fear of a Black Planet.
Either way Public Enemy was a great band! I'll still back Chuck D (but I'm not too sure about Flavor anymore).

Anyway, yeah, I know broken bones are part of the territory. I keep telling girls who don't have insurance that they need to hook that shit up. Next time it could be them.
The exhibition is going to be us competing against ourselves. We'll break up into 2 teams and compete for probably one period, which is about 30 minutes. We'll have bands there, too, and some other stuff in the works as well. Oh yes, it's on.
