I've been set up like the innocent.
Good news -- heard back from Showrooom NYC and I got on the guest list. Pays to have that insider hookup! Check out my post from April 1st to see all of the Graphiti artists who'll be at the opening.
First person to get back with me can join me! This thing starts around 10 p.m. on Saturday, April 9th and...it's all you can drink for free. Hang, tag and drink! The Showroom is 2-3 blocks from the SGNY event on Saturday, so I figure I'll hit the SG event, go to the other then go back to the SG event!
Thank God it's finally warming up...and staying sunny. Normally by this time of year I'm all sorts of randy...as most are. There's something about that whole "Spring itch" that I look forward to. But I'd be curious to find out if others don't have the same thing happen.
One thing that I do find of interest are how many people are still single out there. It seems that people are holding out for...something but when asked they just don't know. What happened to taking a chance?
The other thing I see quite often (across the board) is the "I can do better" mentality. That could be true....however, if you're on an internet dating site, going to those "meet singles" lunches / events, etc. then wouldn't you be actually in the same boat as everyone else? That's a notion I've had for a very long time. Before the internet what did people do? They socialized! Got out or at least made that attempt to talk with someone.
Social interaction has slid downhill. Try approaching someone with that iPod zombie look in their eye. Or even just trying to catch their eye.
I say Revolution! One thing that I have started to do is attempt to talk with at least one person a day. Who cares if they think I'm a nutter! You never know I / you / we might end up meeting someone very cool or someone that you click with.
Live life brothers and sisters!
