Pull the wool over your own eyes
Thursday's seem to be good days for me in the grand scope of things.
+ Woke up and had a good workout.
+ Avoided the increasingly annoying doorman at work.
+ Managed to print out my resume and other stuff that probably shouldn't have been printed at work without gettin' busted.
+ Bought a ticket for the UNSANE show at the end of April -- which won't get here soon enough! Also saw that Mastadon is playing for a mere $13.
+ Finished buying the ticket and then got handed the PSP I ordered! Oh yeah -- time to get all geeky. Way back in 2000 I was a victim of downsizing and also of being stuck in the Midwest -- two things that were a problem for those in the art / advertising field. I ended up having to sell nearly everything I owned to pay rent and eat. The first thing that went were my gaming systems and I've been wantin' one since then.
+ Got an email in from Stoner Rock saying that the new Acid King was available for order! ACID KING!!! Yeah -- that was a no-brainer. So I got that ordered and then went to the Small Stone record label and saw that they had a "jukebox" where you can sample tracks from all of their artists. The first artist was a cut from the new Acid King album.
Frankly I came like 4 times within the first minute of the track! Yeah, it was messy and I was at work, but hell, that was some powerful shit. If they don't tour soon then I'm going to book a flight for Texas and haunt them!
+ Got an email from a friend of mine who's going to take me to a Cajun place for my birthday. Woo!
The rest of the day was spent walking around and blowing off work, along with giving shit to the person who stabbed be in the back. Yeah, ain't no hard feelings here...

And yep, I'm back whoring myself out to the Man. I just can't hack it as a freelancer. Well, maybe I can eventually in another field, but definitely not web design and production, that's for sure.
