So, this morning I wake up in an excellent mood and hit the gym for a good, but painful workout. Sunday I checked out a new gym and forgot that, with my long legs I should avoid one machine. This device simulates cross-country skiing, however it doesn't do well if you have a long stride. For the last 2+ days I've been working off uber-tight calf muscles.
Stretchin' don't help. Bio-Freeze (Grodd bless!) helps a bit. I think imbibing of some alcohol will do me best.
Anyway, I split the pad this morning and it was 51 degrees at 5:00 a.m. Woo! By the time I came home, the temp had dropped a good 30 degrees and everything was covered in ice along with a cruddy wind. Cray-zee stuff to say the least.
To help combat this weather I'm mixing AC/DC -- the oh-so-amazing Highway to Hell with tattooed nekkid girls. Life is grand! Hmm...although having a nekkid tattooed girl to share a night such as this would be better.
Trapped inside? Try out this recipe that I came up with:

Edamame Hummus
1 c. cooked Edamame
1/4 c. Tahini (make sure it's fresh)
3 cloves garlic, sliced
1/4 c. fresh lemon juice
salt and a pinch of cayenne
1. Puree edamame to a fine paste in a food processor. If too crumbly, add 1/2 tbsp of ice water.
2. Add Tahini, garlic and lemon juice to processor and puree until smooth. Add ice water or more lemong juice (by preference and if needed) until a dip-like consistancy.
3. Add salt and cayenne to taste.
Serve with fresh, warm pita bread.
Room temp for up to 6 hours or store in fridge for a few days.

When I had my catering biz this was a huge hit -- not only for the taste but for the great color. Pair it with Creamy Feta Cheese and Ajvar. So good!

but we were discussing you over lattes...i said i knew this super cool kat who was smart and funny and cute and could cook like nobody's bidnezz (i left out the part about you having scored with a bunny...i think that would make most girls feel...um...under-qualified, maybe?) and we were trying to figure out if we know any hot mamas who deserve your attentions.
