Tomorrow I am going to see Brokeback Mountain, which was just nominated for 8 academy awards. For me, this means the movie better be freakin' amazing -- so I'm going to put the screws to it.

Right now, gay cowboys are going to go up against the gritty cowboys of Deadwood, my new obsession! That show...damn...four episodes into the first season and I want to go back to the old west. Grim, Grimy and Gritty hardly even begin to describe the show.

I have to say that I really loved King Kong and was very disappointed it didn't get more nods than what it did with the academy, but then they also love the over-wrought Crash, which I found to be tedious at best.

Found out that Bad Brains will be playing at CBGB's shortly. Without HR...again. While I would love to see them at the legendary joint, the one time I did see them without HR it just wasn't the same.

Hmm...with all of these reunion shows it's got me wondering who else I'd like to see do another tour. Squirrel Bait! Arsenal! BIG BLACK...I'd eat someone's baby to see Big Black play. At the Drive-in...Didjits...Steel Pole Bathtub!!!

Okay, gotta stop this otherwise I'll get all old and bitter.

I need my own radio channel...the cranky, old skate punk station!
