Just got back from seeing Douglas Coupland talk, read, Q&A and autograph, which turned out better than expected. I read a bit of "Microserfs" but didn't make it through for some reason. Probably due to it being the summer and my interests were on other things.

Brooklyn -- the land of the mix. Today was the "aftermath" of the puny storm that hit this joint. Frankly I was expecting worse, especially with the calls of "Blizzard". Hell, blizzard back at home meant a good 2 feet or more of snow. It's laughable around here, but everyone was in good cheer. Watched kids eat snow from the sidewalk, which I'm sure helped...
