Wow -- just realized that I haven't updated in a while but figured I'd get off my lazy Greek ass and do some writin'. although I'm still on my ass, but that's another story.

As I walk around Manhattan and Brooklyn I started to cook up a new photo series. Next step is to shoot and then hunt down a gallery to display the works...

ah...45 degrees and sunny in Brooklyn, nearly time to get out and wander a bit.

Checking out a few tattoo parlors around the house:

Cherry Bomb (113 Franklin Ave)

Asylum (143 North 4th st)

Saved (82 Berry St)

All within 15 minutes walk of the pad.

Things to think about:

+ Kill Whitey
+ Install a new government. ours broke down about a hundred years...

The revolution will not be televised

You will not be able to stay home, brother.
You will not be able to plug in, turn on and cop out.
You will not be able to lose yourself on skag and skip,
Skip out for beer during commercials,
Because the revolution will not be televised.

The revolution will not be televised.
The revolution will not be brought...

Whitey on the Moon

A rat done bit my sister Nell with Whitey on the moon.
Her face and arms began to swell and Whitey's on the moon.
I can't pay no doctor bills but Whitey's on the moon.
Ten years from now I'll be payin' still while Whitey's on the moon.

The man just upped my rent last night cuz Whitey's on the moon.
No hot water, no toilets, no lights but Whitey's on the moon.
I wonder why he's uppin me. Cuz Whitey's on the moon?
I was already givin' him fifty a week but now Whitey's on the moon.

Taxes takin' my whole damn check,
The junkies makin' me a nervous wreck,
The price of food is goin' up,
And as if all that shit wasn't enough:

A rat done bit my sister Nell with Whitey on the moon.
Her face and arms began to swell but Whitey's on the moon.
Was all that money I made last year for Whitey on the moon?
How come there ain't no money here?
Hmm! Whitey's on the moon.

Ya know, I just about had my fill of Whitey on the moon.
I think I'll send these doctor bills
airmail special....
to Whitey on the moon.

Luddites Unite!

We need to swing the world back to the usage of non-technology. Bring down the machine, not lift it up. What's happening is most people are becoming comfortable with doing things online or via another electronic forum.

When was the last time you wrote a letter -- with pencil / pen and paper? Or struck up a conversation with a stranger? People won't...

journal updates are akin to one hand clapping.

Today on the street I was amazed at how the change in weather could cause people to be civil. It's the small things that make it all worthwhile at times, like striking up a conversation with someone.

Back from where I was raised, the natural tendency of most folk would be to not talk with others. While...

Is there anything better than Sunday Morning porn?

Today's lesson is proper drawing technique. For many people, there's the assumption that the "arteest" is slumped over their drawing pad and paper, which from much experience is the case! However, what people don't know (if not formally trained) is that you don't draw on a surface that is perpendicular to yourself -- always have your drawing...

It's that time again kiddies -- tax season!

Wanna get some extra dough outta the government? MOVE. Actually, just move for work -- especially if it's some distance from where you're living. You can then claim moving fees+jack it up a bit for other expenses. My move from Indiana to Brooklyn netted me an extra $500. Woo! Love padding the paperwork.

It's all slack. Find...

How is it that corporate AmeriKKKan's can put up with the crap that people speak when being motivational?

Today was the first-quarter rah-rah gathering for the joint that I slack off, er, work for. Being the "arteest" allows leeway when it comes to work...or just paying attention. For those of you who are currently in college, become an arteest! In the end, your rewards will...

Currently it's 4:40 a.m. -- which is around the time I normally am up since I seem to be an odd sleeper. I can get by on 5 hours or so, but when I sleep I am a dead man. I won't even move from the position that I fall asleep in.

At this time of the morning it's always interesting to see who else...

hmm...not a very intuitive interface.

Is this journal deal the same as one hand clapping?

Just got back from seeing Douglas Coupland talk, read, Q&A and autograph, which turned out better than expected. I read a bit of "Microserfs" but didn't make it through for some reason. Probably due to it being the summer and my interests were on other things.

Brooklyn -- the land of the mix. Today was the "aftermath" of the puny storm that hit this joint. Frankly I was expecting worse, especially with the calls of "Blizzard". Hell, blizzard back at home meant a good 2 feet or more of snow. It's laughable around here, but everyone was in good cheer. Watched kids eat snow from the sidewalk, which I'm sure helped...
