Domestics can break the love illusion but try throwing kids into the mix (if you haven't already). That is the toughest one to get beyond, to get back to really being a couple. Sadly, after 15 years together my ex and I parted this past summer. We had become mearly the parents to eachothers children. It is far to easy to get to the point where you take the other person for granted, and just coast in that lazy comfort zone.
